SUSPENDED FROM THE BUS?
We want every child to have the opportunity to attend church and grow in their faith. However, we must also maintain a safe environment for all riders.
WHY SUSPENSIONS HAPPEN
We want every child who rides the Jesus Bus to feel welcome, safe, and loved. Sometimes, when disruptive or unsafe behavior continues after warnings, a suspension may be necessary. Suspension is never about giving up on a child. Our goal is to help them take responsibility, make better choices, and provide a clear path for them to return.
OUR SUSPENSION PROCESS
Our suspension process is designed to correct behavior while giving every child an opportunity to return. Students are first given warnings and an opportunity to correct their behavior. If the behavior continues, a strike may be issued. Depending on the number of strikes received, returning may require a written apology and/or community service. Our goal throughout the process is always accountability, growth, and restoration.
CAN MY CHILD RETURN?
Yes! Our goal is always restoration. Depending on the strike received, your child may need to complete a written apology and/or community service before returning. After a third strike, they may return when the next session begins once the required steps have been completed.
